With the end of the year approaching, list season is in full swing, with media ranking the best and worst things of 2014. Gamers deserve a list of their own, especially with the release of Xbox One and PS4 one year ago. In the time since, both systems have unleashed a torrent of interactive games with beautiful graphics.

年末临近，榜单季也如火如荼全面展开，各大媒体纷纷盘点起2014年度之最。游戏玩家们也值得拥有一份自己的榜单，尤其是一年前我们迎来了Xbox One与PS4两款游戏机，一大批画面精美的互动式游戏也陆续登陆这两大平台。

Here we briefly review some of the best games released for both systems over the past year.

Sunset Overdrive

It is a diverse open-world shooting game. It’s set in a city where people have ingested an energy drink that’s turned them into mutants. Players must escape the city by blasting enemies and collecting fun gadgets. One of the game’s big selling points is its action-oriented movement. Every area is full of rails you can slide on and walls you can run along. “Never has getting from Point A to Point B in an open-world game provided so much enjoyment,” said IGN. “It provides some of the most fun, frantic, and fantastic gaming.”

Far Cry 4 has been a massive hit in North America and Europe. You play as Ajay Ghale, a young man returning to his homeland of Kyrat to scatter his deceased mother’s ashes. But the trip doesn’t go as planned due to the country’s tyrannical king, Pagan Min. You will discover the most diverse Far Cry world ever created. It’s full of myth, faith, lies and beauty, with terrain spanning from lush forests to snowcapped Himalayas. It encourages the player to fight and hunt. You can make full use of the environment to crush your enemies.

This third entry in the Dragon Age franchise debuted to top sales in countries worldwide. The game is about collecting party members and forging alliances in order to combat a monstrous evil. Rich in character and story, Inquisition creates a fantasy world with plausible social rules you can get lost in. Sometimes the world may seem a little too big, but as long as you keep the focus on the story and combat, you’ll continue to progress.

Set 16 years after the film, it sees you playing as Amanda Ripley, who embarks on a journey to the space station Sevastopol. But when Ripley arrives at the space city, she realizes something has gone horribly wrong. It is a tense game of hide and seek, but if you pay close attention to your surroundings, you can survive. The game’s pacing, use of emotion and general aesthetic design are worthy of our praise.

Players are required to use their imagination to escape from difficult situations instead of merely selecting a pre-ordained set of procedures. Its integrated multiplayer mode will keep you playing for hours.
