2011年9月20日，Carly Rae Jepsen发行了自己的新单曲Call Me Maybe。轻快俏皮的节奏，亮点无限的MV，很快便在各大视频网站蹿红。2012年2月，在上榜15周后（Billboard Canadian Hot 100），Carly终于迎来了个人的第一首冠单！

加拿大当红明星Justin Bieber签下了这一位新人Carly Rae Jepsen 并和SG等明星一同出现在她翻拍的Call Me Maybe的MV中。她也和JB在录音室合作。截止2012年六月 这首歌在加拿大 澳大利亚、捷克、丹麦、芬兰、匈牙利、爱尔兰、新西兰、瑞典、英国 美国， 等十几个国家已经夺下冠军，ITunes下载热度升到第1位。

同时受到歌迷关注的还有Call me maybe的MV中的男主角。他叫Holden Nowell，全名Adam Holden Nowell，因为长相和身材都非常完美，再加上MV最后突出的同性关系，受到广大关注。今年25岁的Holden，并不是MV中演绎的同性恋，他已经订婚，目前的职业是模特。
