麦当推出两款巨无霸汉堡,让你一次吃个够!
It's been a staple for fast food lovers since being rolled out nationwide in 1968. But the Big Mac as we know it is getting a revamp - even if it is just a temporary one. McDonald's has announced it is launching two limited edition versions of its most famous burger- a 'junior' one and a supersized one. The new additions have been released to mark 50 years since the original Big Mac was released, but will only be available from the 7th February to the 20th March across both the UK and the United States. The tasty trio will include the original '50-year-old' Big Mac - which will temporarily be known as the 'birthday burger' - made from two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions, sandwiched between a three-piece sesame seed bun. It will also feature the limited-edition Mac Jr., which includes all the same ingredients but is slightly smaller with one less patty. For hungrier mouths, the limited-edition Grand Big Mac will satisfy further cravings, offering the same ingredients in a larger size. An established classic in the McDonald's family, the Big Mac was first created in February 1967 by an American McDonald's franchisee named Jim Delligatti in Pennsylvania, USA, before being rolled out across the world the following year. Delligatti originally wanted to call the burger 'The Aristocrat', however after consideration McDonald's chose to go with the now famous name, Big Mac. Best known for its special (and for a long time, secret) sauce, which took Delligetti two years to perfect, the Big Mac became famous for its one-of-a-kind taste. Following huge success in the USA, the burger arrived in the UK in 1974 when the first UK restaurant opened on Woolwich High Street, and is now sold in over 100 countries worldwide. Steven Howells, Head of Marketing at McDonald's UK, commented: 'As an iconic McDonald's product, we are proud and excited to be celebrating 50 years of the legendary Big Mac and for the first time ever in the UK, introducing the two new sizes for a limited time. 'We know a lot of our customers will remember the 1974 launch of the Big Mac in the UK and have continued to enjoy the burger and pass the Big Mac love on since then, it remains our most iconic burger!' |
