清晰而有力的唱着 "情歌迷死人"的作曲者之所以写出这首作品，是因为他在某个偶然的机会，于一家pub听到了唐麦克林(Don McLean，曾写出Vincent, America Pie等经典名曲)在台上以吉他自弹自唱的动人歌声而为之倾倒，从此成为他的歌迷，经常到现场点歌、聆赏，后来并写出了这首歌，描述他第一次听唐麦克林唱歌的情景。
而这首歌经由人女歌星罗贝塔佛蕾克的诠释，也成为一首传诵一时的抒情佳作，只是一般歌迷多不晓得这首歌的背景乃是乐坛的一段佳话。 |
