A Eel
We kept a leapard moray eel(鳗鱼) for a long time in a marine tank, now she is nearly 40 inches long, interspersed(点缀,散布) by plum shape of black colour with the white colour background what looked like a tiger. When she is hungry, she is upset in the tank, getting down and up, go and back, hidden and out, looked pitiful and needed help. Sometimes she stretches her head out of the salt water, the body is stiff and looked like an SA missile ready to launch. After she has had full her stomach, she is so quiet, the back peak fin stiffed like the wall, the colour of her body is so attractive. Most of the time she was bent double and sleeping in a 15 centimeters diameter big tube, when she slept she always keep her eyes open, besides this she likes to lie down as like as human sleeping. Sometimes she plays in the tank by herself, she waved her tail like a dog in the grass field, moved her head like a dolphin playing with a ball in the zoo. Every morning, when she saw me come, she liked the Chinese children seen their parents come home from shopping. They so excited, because their parents have bought their favourites. "Calm down! I’ll feed you after a couple of minutes." I said to her, but She couldn’t help herself to keep cool, she stretched her head out of the water about six inches, two small eyes circled to follow my hand. After feeding, she really calmed down now. Look! half in the tube, half stayed out and reminded me of a Chinese slang: "Scales east and paws west." |
