innovative development of foreign trade 外贸创新发展

国务院办公厅日前印发《关于推进对外贸易创新发展的实施意见》，提出创新方式开拓国际市场、优化国内区域布局、增强外贸企业竞争力等九大支持外贸发展新举措。

The State Council recently unveiled guidelines on the innovative development of the country's foreign trade. It specified measures covering nine areas to promote trade development, including searching for new ways to explore the international market, optimizing the domestic layout of foreign trade, and enhancing the competitiveness of foreign trade firms.

促进外贸创新发展。中国将继续通过进博会等开放平台，支持各国企业拓展中国商机。中国将挖掘外贸增长潜力，为推动国际贸易增长、世界经济发展作出积极贡献。中国将推动跨境电商等新业态新模式加快发展，培育外贸新动能。中国将压缩《中国禁止进口限制进口技术目录》，为技术要素跨境自由流动创造良好环境。

China will pursue creative ways to grow foreign trade. Through the CIIE and other platforms of opening up, we will continue to support companies from around the world in exploring business opportunities in China. We will tap into the growth potential of foreign trade with a view to boosting growth in international trade and the world economy. China will encourage cross-border e-commerce and other new business forms and models to grow even quicker to foster new drivers of foreign trade. China will shorten its catalog of technologies prohibited or restricted from import to create a favorable environment for the free flow of technologies across borders.
