瑞典推出“免下车婚礼”

    瑞典教堂将于下月推出“免下车婚礼”，整场婚礼在汽车拉力赛上举行，仅持续7分钟。已经有37对新潮准夫妻提交了申请，准备在瑞典的韦斯特罗斯市，由汽车爱好者来共同见证这神圣时刻。

    The Church of Sweden will carry out drive-in weddings lasting about seven minutes at a car rally next month in a bid to make marriage more accessible, it said on Thursday.

    本周四，瑞典教堂表示其将于下月推出一场仅持续7分钟的“免下车婚礼”，整场婚礼将会在汽车拉力赛上举行。

    上述报道中，drive-in wedding就是“免下车婚礼”，drive-in的意思是of or being a motion-picture theater, refreshment stand, bank, or other public facility designed to accommodate patrons in their automobiles，即“免于下车的（餐馆、银行等公共设施）”，比如：drive-in restaurant（免下车餐馆），drive-in teller machine（免下车柜员机），drive-in theatre（免下车剧院）等。现在，有很多快餐店都开了drive-through以吸引更多的顾客，a drive-through, or drive-thru (also called a drive-in), is a business that serves customers who pull up in their vehicles.
