[00:11.75]The eagle’s nest contained four large eagle eggs. [00:16.79]One day an earthquake rocked the mountain, [00:19.07]causing one of the eggs to roll down the mountain to a chicken farm [00:22.70]located in the valley below. [00:24.55]The chickens knew that they must protect [00:27.29]and care for the eagle’s egg, [00:29.02]so an old hen volunteered to nurture and raise the large egg. [00:33.09]One day, the egg hatched and a beautiful eagle was born. [00:37.57]Sadly, however, [00:39.30]the eagle was raised to be a chicken. [00:41.94]Soon, the eagle believed he was nothing more than a chicken. [00:45.10]The eagle loved his home and family, [00:47.75]but his spirit cried out for more. [00:50.14]While playing a game on the farm one day, [00:53.10]the eagle looked to the skies above [00:55.61]and noticed a group of mighty eagles soaring in the skies. [00:59.23]"Oh," the eagle cried, [01:01.85]"I wish I could soar like those birds." [01:04.48]The chickens roared with laughter, [01:07.65]"You cannot soar with those birds. [01:10.37]You are a chicken and chickens do not soar." [01:13.78]The eagle continued staring at his real family up above, [01:18.58]dreaming that he could be with them. [01:21.31]Each time the eagle would let his dreams be known, [01:24.61]he was told it couldn’t be done. [01:26.12]That is what the eagle learned to believe. [01:28.65]The eagle, after time, [01:30.82]stopped dreaming and continued to live his life like a chicken. [01:34.22]Finally, after a long life as a chicken, [01:37.50]the eagle passed away. [01:39.26]The moral of the story: [01:41.98]You become what you believe you are. [01:43.85]So, if you ever dream of becoming an eagle, [01:46.80]follow your dreams... [01:48.00]not the words of a chicken. |
