Flight of the Butterflies
Even as a child, I loved watching butterflies They appeared as though they had candy eyes They would flutter soft and gently Working in the gardens so intently We can learn from all God's creatures Although they all have different features Monarchs teach us how to be gentle Touching them is very detrimental Their wings are very frail They struggle when held to no avail Ripping their wings into shreds Poor little wings want to spread Flitter in flight Is best in sight Or watching them on a flower And under a leaf when it showers Gracefulness is learned Watching them return Appreciate their grace They are not to embrace God's creatures are free to roam Unless you go to an observation dome And learn about their ways Please just gaze |
