我国快递行业出新规 将从五月起开始施行
New rules have been announced for the express delivery sector, demanding companies use eco-friendly, biodegradable and reusable packaging materials. Regulations also include language to improve the protection of consumers and tackle emerging problems, including information security and packaging waste. Any enterprises or individuals engaging in express delivery services will face a maximum 100,000 yuan penalty if caught illegally selling or disclosing users' personal data. The new mandate also calls on express delivery services to launch cross-border operations and increase their presence in overseas markets. With average annual growth of 42% over the past decade, China's express delivery sector has topped the world for four straight years in terms of volume. The sector saw 495 billion yuan worth of revenue in 2017. The new regulations are set to take effect on May 1, according to a decree signed by Premier Li Keqiang. |
