梅根拒见特朗普,英国媒体怒斥这是失职
MEGHAN MARKLE has been attacked by Piers Morgan for “snubbing” US president Donald Trump’s state visit. Mr Morgan blasted the Duchess of Sussex for avoiding Mr Trump during his trip to the UK last week but attending Trooping the Colour days later. The Good Morning Britain presenter accused Meghan, who is taking time off royal duties following the arrival of baby Archie in May, of skipping the US president’s visit due to her dislike of him. Writing in his Daily Mail column, Mr Morgan said: “So call me suspicious, but I don’t think her absence from Trump’s visit had anything to do with her baby, and everything to do with her dislike of her President. “And that, I’m afraid, is unacceptable. It’s not part of the deal.” Mr Morgan insisted that royals are expected to show up at events like Mr Trump’s visit in return for their lavish lifestyle. He said: “I’m sorry, but bunking off at home is simply not an option for ANY senior member of the Royal Family. “Yet that’s what Meghan did. And we all know why she did it – she hates Trump with a passion, and views him, as she once said on TV, as a ‘divisive misogynist.’” Mr Morgan added that Prince Harry’s wife showed a “woefully selfish disregard for royal duty”. |
