Almost every morning for the last 25 years
在过去的25年里,几乎每个早晨
I have exercised my body.
我都会做些锻炼
It is nothing too strenuous .
这并不是一件费力的事
It is just a light workout to maintain my health.

I don’t do it to look good

or to compete in some sport.

I just do it because

I am sure many of you do the same.

Our bodies aren’t the only part of us that needs exercise,

however.

There is a far more important part of ourselves

that we should exercise as well
我们也应该加以锻炼
and that is our souls.
那就是我们的灵魂
It is so easy to do too.

Here are just a few of the things you can do

to exercise your soul.

Take a moment several times each day

Listen to a song that lifts your spirit

and sing along.

Spend an afternoon

listening to the rain fall on your roof

while petting your dog.

Share a smile with someone you pass on the street.
