First Writing Ceremony
The First Writing Ceremony, also called Qi Meng (Enlightenment) Ceremony, was a very important ceremony for every student before they were admitted to school. 启蒙教育开笔礼一般在Confucius temple(孔庙)举行,孩子们要穿上traditional costumes(传统服装),老师们give a red dot on pupil’s forehead(在学生们的额头上点红痣),名为opening the wisdom eye (“开天眼”)。 |
