Luo, He win synchronized men's 3-meter springboard
Yutong Luo and Chong He of China won the synchronized men's 3-meter springboard final with 438.99 points at the USA Diving Grand Prix on Thursday night. The 22-year-old Luo and the 19-year-old He opened the competition and held the lead throughout all six dives. "We think we did pretty well," Luo said through an interpreter. Luo was impressed with Americans Jevon Tarantino and Chris Colwill, who finished third. "The U.S. team did quite well," Luo said. "The difficulty of their dives were quite high, higher than us." Tarantino and Colwill finished with 388.38 points, behind the Italian team of Tomasso Marconi and Nicola Marconi, who had 392.37 points. Tarantino and Colwill jumped ahead of Americans Mitch Richeson and Troy Dumais in the third dive. The meet continues Friday night with the women's synchronized 3-meter springboard final |
