“奥运法制宣传万里行”活动日前在北京启动

由中宣部、司法部等联合开展的“奥运法制宣传万里行”活动日前在北京启动。本次活动以北京和青岛、天津、上海、沈阳和秦皇岛等赛区城市为重点，围绕奥运火炬传递路线等在全国各地集中开展奥运法制宣传活动。为此北京市共编印了80万册《北京奥运市民法律知识手册》，将重点发放给奥运会比赛场馆和训练场馆周边地区居民。

Crowds gathered at the Shijingshan Green Plaza in Beijing on Wednesday to kick off of the "10,000-mile March Olympic Regulations Publicity Campaign."

Gu Xiulian, Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress, delivered educational booklets on the Olympic regulations to local government units, which will be handed out to neighboring residents of the city's Olympic venues. Over 800,000 educational booklets have been printed for the purpose.

The publicity campaign aims to spread knowledge about the Olympic regulations to all the points along the Olympic Torch Relay route, with special emphasis on Beijing and the Olympic co-host cities of Qingdao, Tianjin, Shanghai, Shenyang, Qinhuangdao, etc.

To increase the public's awareness of the Olympic regulations, the campaign will reach out to neighborhoods around the Olympic venues, service industries, media, and Olympic volunteers.

The Olympic regulations will be disseminated through lectures, consultations, exhibitions, contests, literature, and other methods. Publicity activities will be tailored to the specific needs of the local population to maximize the impact and reach of the campaign.

Officials from the National People's Congress, National Popularization of Legal Knowledge Office, and Ministry of Justice attended the campaign's launch in Beijing.
