奥运歌曲:连接中国和世界
第二届北京2008奥运歌曲征集评选活动有十首获奖歌曲。在这十首获奖的奥运歌曲的获奖者中有个外国人。《China-World》的创作者是英国人ClaireSelby,这是唯一一首由外籍人士创作的获奖歌曲。 The song called "China-World" is one of the ten candidate theme songs selected for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Among all the ten candidates, "China-World" is the only one written by a foreigner. The writer of the song, Claire Selby, is a British. After graduating from Oxford University with a Masters Degree in languages, Claire devotes herself to English education for children in different countries. Claire and her husband launched their English-study campaign for Chinese children in 2004. She was told about the way China was growing, and wanted to link children all over the world to those in this mysterious Oriental nation. As she knew that Beijing is going to host the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, she was inspired by the news and wrote the song. To Claire, the Beijing Olympic Games is a wonderful opportunity for children around world to learn about China. |
