Sun joins battle field at European Champions League

Sun Xiang from China joined his Dutch team of PSV Eindhoven into battle against Liverpool at the start of the second half of the European Champions League quarterfinal held Tuesday evening. After the first half of the game, during which the PSV Eindhoven lost one goal at home to Liverpool, PSV head coach Ronald Koeman replaced Jefferson Farfan with the young Chinese player, who played the left midfielder. It was the first change of players in the field. Liverpool achieved its lead over PSV at around the 27th minute when Jamie Gerrard made the score. The England midfielder drove into the box to plant a header from a Steve Finnan cross into the far corner, giving PSV's goalkeper Heurelho Gomes no chance.
