教育与成长(1)
Bravery never goes out of fashion. Better do a little well, than a great deal badly. From the very beginning of his education, the child should experience the joy of discovery. For many, life's longest mile is the stretch from dependence to independence. Man will become better only when you will make him see what he is like. The value of life lies not in the length of days, but in the use we make of them. Education is the ability to listen to almost anything without losing your temper or your self-confidence. The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet. Education begins its work while the first breath of the child. A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops. A man who gives his children habit's of industry provides for them better than giving them a fortune. When clouds appear, wise men put on their cloaks. A torn jacket is soon mended; but hard words bruise the heart of a child. Give a little love to a child, and you get a great deal back. Travel, in the younger sort, is a part of education; in the elder, a part of experience. Talent is the gift plus the passion -- a desire to succeed so intense that not force on earth can stop it. You have to be first, best or different. |
