《穿普拉达的女王》泄露被删片段,网友拍手叫好!
Devil Wears Prada has long been a firm fan favourite and staple DVD in any comedy buff's collection. The story of optimistic young journalist Andy Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway, struggling to work with ice queen boss Miranda Priestly, played to steeley perfection by Meryl Streep, kept viewers gripped through their hate-hate relationship. But all that could be about to change, after a recently discovered scene that failed to make the final cut has recently surfaced. In the deleted scene Meryl's character shows a vulnerability that wasn't there before and it also gives an unseen glimpse into her challenging private life - that may explain her tough exterior. Andy prepares to leave the party early to be with her boyfriend on his birthday. As she makes her exit she is interrupted by Miranda's drunk husband who bellows out: "Hey! When do we eat?" as she is busy schmoozing VIP guests. After missing her chance to leave the party earlier, Andy then turns to look at Miranda, who has dragged her hubby off in the opposite direction. The pair share a look of solidarity before Miranda mouths 'thank you' across the crowded room. The moment of humility is out of odds with Meryl's character - believed to be based on Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour - until this point, and shows a connection between the editor and assistant that was never there before. Fans couldn't get over the change in circumstances, writing that it 'changed the whole movie.' "Thank You does not exist in Miranda Priestly's vocabulary!" fumed one. "Makes Miranda vulnerable (to stupid hubby) which is not her persona. So I see why they left it out," concluded another. A third fumed: "I'm really angry I've seen that." |
