为了当英国王妃,梅根到底做出了哪些妥协?
Following 16 months of dating, Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle's engagement was announced on Monday. Hours after the happy news was revealed, the smitten couple then gave their first joint interview. During it, Meghan insisted that she doesn't see the pair's union as "giving anything up". "I just see it as a change," she continued - but others might disagree. The actress, who will wed the Queen's grandson at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle in May, was referring to her role as Rachel Zane on legal drama Suits. On Tuesday, the show finally confirmed she had departed the series. But quitting the show she's been part of for seven years - which also saw her relocate from Los Angeles to start a life in Canada - isn't the only thing the 36-year-old has seemingly sacrificed to start her life with Prince Harry in London. As well as quitting the show, she's believed to have decided to shun a showbiz career altogether, with a source telling The Sun: “Meghan has been very clear that her entire paid showbiz career is now over. “She will maintain her agent and PR to field calls and offers, but she is not seeking any acting work and not planning to." The future royal, who has now relocated from Toronto, has also moved one of her two rescue dogs, beagle Guy, to the UK to be with her. However, she has been forced to say farewell to Bogart - a Labrador-shepherd mix - who has been permanently re-homed with close friends. It's thought that Bogart is too old to fly from Canada to her new home in London. Meghan has also given up her current charitable commitments and will now focus on getting to know the UK and touring the country with Prince Harry. |
