去过北京各大旅游景点的人都知道那里的门票是按照旺季和淡季两个时间段定价的。但其实在旺季和淡季交替的时候，有那么一段时间，游客没有旺季那么多，却也不会像淡季时那么少，似乎将其归入哪个季都不是很合适，所以，我们就有了shoulder season（平季）这个说法。Shoulder season refers to the time period in between peak/high season and low/off season. Tourism is at middle-of-the-road levels: less than the crowds during peak periods, but more than when visitation drops off during low/off season.
