judgments 判定和裁决

All of the judgments made by the Supreme People's Court will continue to be publicized on its official website, except those concerning national secrets, trade secrets or personal privacy.

除涉及国家机密、商业机密以及个人隐私的信息外，最高人民法院做出的所有裁判文书都将在其官方网站上公布。

Judgments就是法院对案件做出的“判定和裁决”，法院“对某人作出判决”可以用pass judgment on someone来表示，如：The court passed judgment on the accused.（法院对被告作出判决。）“维持原判”则是to affirm the original judgment。另外，judgment还可以表示“看法、判断、评价”等，如：Remember to be tactful when expressing a personal judgment.（记住表达个人看法要婉转。）

最高法此次网上晒文书是为了增加司法透明度（judicial transparency），保障人们的知情权（people's rights to be informed），并实行司法监督（judicial supervision）。
