in-flight Wi-Fi service 空中上网服务

Three major Chinese airlines, including China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Air China, have been approved to provide in-flight Wi-Fi services.

中国三大航空公司，中国东方航空公司、中国南方航空公司和中国国际航空公司已获批提供“空中上网服务”。

“空中上网服务”可以用in-flight Wi-Fi services表示，in-flight 表示飞行中供应（或发生）的，如航空餐（in-flight meal），机内娱乐（in-flight entertainment）。

空中上网服务可以有效提升旅客乘机体验，吸引旅客流量（attract passenger traffic），航空公司表示将使用先进的技术（state-of-the-art technology ）提速带宽（bandwidth），或比传统技术快50倍。

目前国外航空公司的空中上网是属于收费服务（paid service），目前在国内航空公司的可空中上网航班上，该服务暂时尚未向乘客收费。东航人士表示，提供空中上网，短期内会成为航空公司提供的增值服务（value-added service）的一个着力点。专家预测，空中上网服务将带来新的商业机会（new business opportunities），特别是在社交媒体和数据服务方面（ data services）。
