TOEIC　for　Your　Career

The TOEIC does not measure what have you learned in one particular English class but evaluates your general command of the English language - your ability to use English in various situations and contexts.

In order to improve your level of English you should combine theory with practice and apply as much of what you learn in an English class as possible. 来源：考试大

Though TOEIC evaluates your command of English in a professional setting you don't need to know any specialized vocabulary such as technical terms or other specific language.

TOEIC focuses on day to day situations that occur when you use English in business.

 •  Familiarize yourself with the test structure and directions so you can focus on the test questions rather than on the test procedure.

 •  Use every opportunity to practise your English such as watching movies and films in the original version (DVD's CineStar Leipzig, CNN), reading articles on the Internet and in newspapers and magazines, taking an English language class, helping your children with their English school homework.
