A think不表示征求意见或发表意见时,可用进行时态:—What are you thinking about?—I’m thinking about the play we saw last night.—你在想什么?—我正在想昨晚我们看的戏。但是:—What do you think of it?—I don’t think much of it.—你觉得怎么样?(征求意见)—我认为不怎么好。(表示意见)—Tom is thinking of emigrating.What do you think of the idea?—I think it is a stupid idea. He should stay where he is.—汤姆正在考虑移居国外。你认为这主意怎么样?—我看这主意很蠢。他应该留在原地。B assume意为以某种说法为出发点时可用进行时态:I’m assuming that you have time to do a lot of research.我姑且认为你有时间进行大量的研究工作。assume意为接过权力/掌管一个国家或组织时也可用进行时态:The new government is assuming power at once.新政府将立即掌握政权。C expect意指等待时也用进行时态:I’m expecting a letter.我今天在等一封信。She’s expecting a baby in May.她预期在5月份分娩。 |
