Narrow Band Internet of Things 窄带物联网

基于蜂窝的窄带物联网（Narrow Band Internet of Things, NB-IoT）成为万物互联网络的一个重要分支。

Narrow Band Internet of Things, (NB-IoT) is a technology being standardized by the 3GPP standards body. This technology is a narrowband radio technology specially designed for the Internet of Things (IoT), hence its name. Special focus of this standard are on indoor coverage, low cost, long battery life and large number of devices. This technology can be deployed in GSM and LTE spectrum.

窄带物联网是由3GPP（《第三代伙伴计划协议》）标准化组织定义的一种技术标准，是一种专为物联网设计的窄带射频技术，因此得名。以室内覆盖、低成本、低功耗和广连接为特点。这种技术可应用于GSM网络和LTE网络。

和窄带网络对应的则是宽带网络（Broadband network），一般指的是带宽超过155kbps以上的网络。
