How did you get into the IT business?/你是怎么进入IT行业的？

A: Hi! Good to meet you.  I believe we work in the same business area.

A: 你好！很高兴见到你。我想我们是同行。

B: Yes, so I understand.  How did you get into the IT business?

B: 是的，我也这样理解。你是怎么进入IT行业的？

A: I got interested in computers at university I guess.

A: 我想我上大学的时候就对电脑感兴趣。

B: It was the same for me.  It seemed an interesting field to be in.

A: Yes, every organization needs IT.

B: I agree.  It's a very good area for work. Lots of opportunities.

You can ask people how they started doing something, eg work, or a hobby, by using the question How did you get into . .  ? / How did you get into . . . eg: How did you get into computers? / How did you get into computers? : How did you get into painting? / How did you get into painting?  It means: What made you start? / What made you start? Or How did you become interested? / How did you become interested?
