China's Border Trade in the First 2 Months Increased Rapidl
In Jan. and Feb. 2006, import and export by border trade amounted to US$2.076 billion, up by 45.8% on a year-on-year basis and accounting for 0.92% of total import and export of the nation. Import by border trade reached US$954 million and export US$1.122 billion, up by 14.8% and 89.1% respectively and accounting for 0.89% and 0.94% respectively of the total. In Feb., border trade hit US$1.043 billion with a year-on-year increase of 62.2%, of which import were US$511 million and export US$532 million, up by 23.9% and 130.7% respectively.
