Operator：Hello, this is ABC Corporation. May I help you?

Brian： Yes. I'm enquiring about ❶ your advertisement for a sales manager in today's

newspaper. Is this position still open?

Operator：Yes, but do you have any experience as a sales manager?

Brian： Yes. I have a lot of previous experience in ❷ sales. I have worked for the sales

departments of two companies since finishing my university.

Operator：That sounds fine. Please give me your name and phone number and I'll set up an

appointment ❸ for an interview for you. It will most likely be in a couple of days' time. Is that all

right for you?

❶ “enquire about sth.”是“询问某事”的意思，例如：I'm writing to enquire about

your ad in The Times.（我写信来询问你们在《泰晤士报》上刊登的广告。）
