Chinese striker Qu Shengqing
Chinese striker Qu Shengqing will play at the inagural Australian Super League. The 1999 Footballer of the Year, Qu Shengqing, will join Australian soccer club Adelaide in the upcoming inagural season of the Australian Super League. The Australian club and Qu’s Shanghai club Shenhua signed the deal yesterday which will see the Chinese footballer playing in Australia for one year. Under the agreement, Adelaide will pay some 200,000 RMB yuan, or somewhat less than 24,000 US dollars, to Shanghai Shenhua for Qu’s services. The 29-year-old striker says he will go to Australia by the end of the month to start his overseas career.
